Follow the Nerd are knowledgeable and obsessive enthusiasts, particularly on technical aspects of the human experience and cultural exchange. That’s right, they’re geeks.
Nerds may be famed for niche interests, but FTN is fast developing a mainstream audience for its radio and online broadcasting. It styles itself as Northern Ireland’s premier online hub for film, comic and TV. I think it’s going to be huge.
This Thursday FTN hosts Marc Savage and Michael Bashford will do a 27-hour radio marathon in aid of Children in Need. The show is aired on Shine FM (102.4FM) from 9pm on Thursday (November 17) until 11.59pm on Friday. They say they’ve secured a number of interviews with actors and voice artists, from the world of film and TV, including Star Wars, for the event.
